We have found ourselves in a really nice apartment in Oban - 3 bedrooms with lots of room, very clean and tidy and friendly helpful owners downstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed - well, as far as this cook was concerned anyway.
On our first day here we wandered the streets, booked a trip to Mull, Iona and Staffa, visited a ruined castle and old estate house before driving out into the countryside where we encountered a herd of highland coos (cows badly in need of a haircut and a horn trim).

a highland coo - look fierce but pretty quiet really.
